POSITION: Additive Manufacturing Sales & Applications Engineer

SALARY: FROM £35K depending on experience. Plus company car or car allowance.

LOCATION: Coventry with UK customer and partner visits as required.

DETAILS: Full-time position.

The company: A distributor of world-class machine tools for over 60 years. They are an innovative leader who specialises in the more demanding fields of engineering that other machine tool suppliers shy away from. With bases in London, Coventry and Manchester.

Providing: Entry-level to the highest machine tools for metal cutting and grinding applications in the UK and Europe. Engineering solutions from stand-alone machines to complete production lines. Technical knowledge and service support to cover the lifetime of the machine tool solution. Providing highly trained technical staff to help customers get into production quickly providing employees with the support and training they need to ensure the smooth installation and operation of the equipment purchased.

Requirements for this position:

• Engineering or related qualifications - Preferred

• Knowledge in CAD AM software

• 3-5 years’ experience as Application Engineer

• 3D Printing / AM experience – Advantage

• Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective using existing solutions

• Work independently with ability to communicate difficult or sensitive information

• Excellent communication skills: fluent English (Additional language/s - advantage)

• Ability to effectively balance strong technical skills with solid relationship-building and account

management capabilities

• Availability to travel to visit customers and partners

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical point of contact with UK customers and to support sales efforts, from initial contact through project

execution.

• Act as the technical liaison between the sales, application engineer and product development Teams.

• Identify customer intelligence including product requirements, decision criteria, roadblocks, timeline, budget, and

competition.

• Review, influence and challenge current solutions.

• Generate reports based on the analysis of customer's needs and provide feedback for improvements to the team.

• Provide Technical Customer Service, assist customers with onboarding of the company’s product or service.

• Train clients through installation and updating issues as needed.
